THE MOIGNARD LIBERATION GARDEN

Healthcare & Education, Cultural, Civic & Community, Landscape, Master Planning & Urban Design, Ecology

This project was funded though the bequest of a former Parishioner, Mr John Henry Moignard, who intended it to be used for the benefit of the Parishioners of St Lawrence. The garden was in part memorial but also includes 22 car park spaces, a petanque court and oak shelter. Rustic materials and colour were specified, including innovative Jersey granite bonded aggregate. Planting design maintains the ‘open’ character of the area and low level, soft and colourful perennial planting compliments its countryside setting. Extremely popular with everyone, The Moignard Liberation Garden design was Highly Commended in the Jersey Design Awards 2017.
