Retail, Hotel & Leisure, Architects

8 Beresford Street (former Victoria Club) Completed 2012 This 19th Century listed building was one of Jersey's oldest private members' clubs and was designed by the engineer Adolphus Curry, who also designed the Jersey Opera House and the former Jersey College for Girls. We were employed by the building owners to carry out a major refurbishment and also by the tenants’ to create a stunning new bar and restaurant, with guest rooms and the operator’s headquarters offices aswell as staff accommodation. Our architecture team and interiors team worked hand-in-hand both with the clients and Historic Buildings Department to ensure the finished building was not only sympathetically refurbished, but also transformed into an exciting new use and for the first time in its history open to everyone. Our in-house “integrated design” approach to the project helped deliver a seamlessly co-ordinated series of architectural elements and interior spaces, bringing this 1890’s iconic building to life and into the 21st century.
