St Cecilia Apartments

Architects, Large-Scale Residential

St Cecilia Apartments, Mont de la Rocque, St Brelade (Completed 2010) Whilst uncompromisingly modern in its architectural design, the use of natural materials and soft, stepping forms help this building sit comfortably in its elevated but countoured site. Architecturally, textured vertical granite clad walls are intended to contrast with the transparent glazing leading on to the balconies or sun decks. The balconies and projecting rooflines with their brise soleil louvers provide strong horizontal emphasis. Our Concept for the St Cecilia Apartments takes a cue from Jersey’s rich heritage of modern houses initiated by Grayson in the 1930’s and takes this theme into the 21st Century by incorporating the latest materials and construction technologies.
